AFFCU Pays 2019 Annual Member Rewards Bonus
Atlantic Financial Federal Credit Union issued the second annual payout of its MY AFFCU REWARDS program. The 2019 rewards program returned over $83,000 to qualifying members as a cash back bonus.
Matthew Piazza, AFFCU President & CEO, stated “As a member-owned financial institution, we value the stake our member-owners have in the credit union and the partnerships we have together. MY AFFCU REWARDS was designed as a way for the Credit Union to say thank you and reward members for their active and engaged relationship with us.”
In the first two years of the MY AFFCU REWARDS program, members have earned a total of $150,258. Additionally, this is the fifth consecutive year that AFFCU has issued an annual bonus to members, returning a total of over $406,000 back to the members.
Mr. Piazza added, “We are proud to be able to continue to return money to the pockets of our members. This is just one of the many ways we do so every day. Our members active engagement with the credit union is what keeps our doors open to serve their financial needs. We designed the MY AFFCU REWARDS program to put members in the driver’s seat, with the ability to control their earning potential based on the level of activity they maintain with AFFCU throughout the year. We also adjusted the timing of the reward payout this year, and going forward, to fall at the beginning of December so that it hits our members’ accounts at the start of the holiday season.”
Members can check their account statements and online banking accounts to see if they earned a 2019 MY AFFCU REWARDS bonus. The member bonus was distributed to qualifying members on December 3, 2019. Funds were deposited into your primary share savings account with the transaction title “2019MYAFFCU REW.”
How MY AFFCU REWARDS Works
Earning a My AFFCU REWARDS bonus is easy. Every AFFCU member is automatically enrolled and eligible to participate. To qualify, you must be a member in good standing with an AFFCU checking account, be enrolled in e-statements, and make 12 checking account transactions (withdraws) per month. Those who meet these monthly qualifications at least 50% of the time during their membership throughout the qualification period can earn over $150 Cash Back based on the following:
- Total combined AFFCU loans: Earn $20 to $75 based on loan balance
- Total combined AFFCU savings deposits: Earn $20 to $75 based on savings balance
- AFFCU Debit Card usage: $0.05 earned per purchase transaction
- AFFCU Credit Card usage: $0.05 earned per purchase transaction
