The ongoing impacts of the pandemic did not prevent the 2021 ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk from taking place. While this years program was modified to become a virtual event, AFFCU was proud to support the Dr. Sanford J. Siegel Baltimore Run/Walk on September 26th, hosted by Chesapeake Urology (a United Urology Group member), a long-time Atlantic Financial FCU employer partner.

AFFCU was honored to support this annual run/walk for the first year and provide a $2,500 sponsorship. The credit union is proud to take part and be an advocate for the efforts to bring awareness and research to help end prostate cancer.

ZERO — The End of Prostate Cancer is a national nonprofit with the mission to end prostate cancer. As the national leader in prostate cancer advocacy, ZERO has been on the front lines fighting for a cure for more than twenty years, helping make significant impact on the fight against the disease. ZERO advances awareness, research, improves the lives of men and families, and inspires action.

Pioneering mobile testing for prostate cancer, ZERO continues to support early detection and free testing across the country, alerting men to lifesaving information and reducing prostate cancer mortality rates.

The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk Series is the nation’s largest event series dedicated to men’s health. The series helps raise awareness and unite men and their families across the country as a powerful force in the fight against prostate cancer.
