Loans
AFFCU offers consumer loans for every purpose. Once all required information is received, a loan decision is usually made within 1 hour. Except for VISA, and First Mortgages, interest rates are reduced 1/2% (Auto Transfer Rate) if your payment is made automatically, 1% (Atlantic Plu$ Rate) if you have direct deposit to AFFCU and set your loan up for payroll deduction or automatic transfer of payment and 2% (Sweet Rewards Rate) for members with Beacon score of 740 or higher. The only discount available for VISA credit cards is the Sweet Rewards Rate and that discount is 3%. Members with past credit problems, but qualify under other criteria may be given the opportunity to borrow at a higher interest rate (ALP Rate). With the exception of First Mortgages and Home Equity Loans or Lines of Credit, you may apply on line or by calling AFFCU during normal business hours or the 24 Hour Loan Line during non-business hours.
