AFFCU BOARD CHAIRMAN DRONEY ANNOUNCES BONUS DIVIDEND
Baltimore, Maryland (1/4/08)
After careful review of the 2007 financials, AFFCU’s Board of Directors voted to pay all AFFCU members in good standing a bonus dividend for 2007. The amount of the bonus dividend each member receives is directly related to how much the member has used their credit union. The estimated payout for the 2007 Member Bonus is $503,000.
Chairman Joseph Droney stated: “With the projected 2007 expenses for IT security upgrades and relocating the Inner Harbor Branch, a bonus dividend such as was given to our members in good standing in 2005 and 2006 was uncertain. However, it is my pleasure to announce that through the strong management of the credit union and the members/owners choosing to use their credit union as their primary financial institution, we are able to once again pass the success of the credit union back to the members. On the December 31, 2007 statement the member will see an additional bonus dividend equally 10% of the dividends earned on all of their savings and a 10% return of the interest paid on their loans, including Visa, during 2007.”
